Emerging Mexico and the Steady U.S. at the Center of the ‘Simply Italian Great Wines US Tour’ by IEM

One of the emerging markets for Italian wine, Mexico — which in 2024 brought almost 60 million euros to Italian wineries and has been steadily growing for years, driven by a rising interest in authenticity, excellence, and the variety of wines made in Italy — and the major “certainty,” despite tariffs, represented by the United States, a key market for Italian wine, which in the first six months of 2025 saw imports reach 988.4 million euros (+5.2% over the same period in 2024, even though a sharp slowdown is expected from July onwards): these are the two countries hosting the “Simply Italian Great Wines US Tour” by IEM – International Exhibition Management, founded by Marina Nedic and Giancarlo Voglino, one of the historical agencies specializing in the internationalization of Italian wine.

The tour kicks off today, October 6, in Mexico City, before moving on to Los Angeles (October 7) and New York (October 9), with more than 60 wineries participating. Among the names featured at the various stops are Gruppo Italiano Vini – GIV, Mezzacorona, Ruffino, Cusumano, Poderi dal Nespoli, Medici Ermete, ColleMassari, Astoria, Perlage, Ricci Curbastro, and Tenute Leone Alato, as well as consortia such as Delle Venezie and Montecucco, among others, along with commercial workshops, B2B meetings, tastings, and guided seminars.
