The tour, created by I.E.M. (International Exhibition Management) to promote and enhance Italian wine worldwide, will kick off with its seventh edition in Poland, in Warsaw on May 12, and will continue for the first time in Serbia, in Belgrade on May 14. Two key appointments for trade professionals, the HoReCa channel, and the media, in markets offering interesting growth potential for Italian wine production.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>In recent years, Poland and Serbia have recorded significant growth in wine consumption, making these markets increasingly attractive for Italy. Poland, now the eighth largest wine importer in the EU by value, has seen a 25% increase over the past five years, with Italy leading as the main supplier, holding a 29% share. Serbia, thanks to its geostrategic position and free trade agreements with key markets, also represents a strategic commercial hub. Overall, Italian exports to the Balkan region are worth \u20ac320 million, with an average annual growth of 10% since 2010.<\/p>\n<p>Following the established format of high-profile commercial workshops enriched by collateral events such as guided tastings, Simply Italian events serve as a privileged meeting point between Italian producers and industry professionals (importers, distributors, sommeliers, HoReCa operators), journalists, opinion leaders, and high-end consumers in some of the world\u2019s most important markets.<\/p>\n<p>This edition\u2019s events will take place in Warsaw at the Hotel Bristol and in Belgrade at the Courtyard by Marriott. In the Polish capital, the Consorzio Vino Nobile di Montepulciano will open the doors of Hotel Bristol with a masterclass led by Mariusz Kapczy\u0144ski, titled <em>\u201cTuscany: The History Teller.\u201d<\/em> The journey through Italy\u2019s wine regions will continue with three hours dedicated to the walk-around tasting, offering the chance to sample the finest wine varieties on display.
